Jeremy Bevan Artist

Brought up in the South Downs, I now live in Wiveton on the North Norfolk coast, having moved here from North London in the summer of 2021.

Working on site and in my garden studio, and with my background as a gardener, my art work is strongly influenced by the landscape and largely begins with drawings in various media based on natural forms, landscapes, plants etc. From these starting points I extrapolate, explore and abstract with layers of texture, colour and mark to create artworks with acrylic paint combined with other media such as collage, stencil, charcoal, pencil and pastel. Increasingly my work veers towards abstraction while retaining some figurative elements.

In the past I have I created small, limited edition linocuts, screen prints and digital artwork. Many of these are still available.

You can look at galleries of my work through the Artworks page or through the links below, which include a range of greetings cards. All work is also available as giclee prints.

I have exhibited in London and currently my work is shown in two places in Norfolk: Make Holt in Holt  and in The Allen Hall Gallery in Glandford.

In both 2024 and 2023 I was shortlisted for the the Sir John Hurt Art Prize, part of the Holt Festival.

My studio in Wiveton is open for studio visits all year round. Please contact me first so that I can be sure to be here when you come.
